Shrewsbury Longsword

The Shrewsbury Sword is named after the battle of Shrewsbury in the year 1403. Henry IV defeated the rebel forces of Henry Percy two miles outside of this Welsh border city.

A typical 15th century sword featuring a diamond shaped blade, scent-stopper steel pommel and pierced guard. The Shrewsbury Longsword is fitted with a high carbon steel blade. The hilt is mild steel with a wooden grip wrapped in leather. The wood-core scabbard is bound in stitched leather and finished with steel fittings.
